The Student Research Symposium is April 24. All undergraduate classes are cancelled that day so students can explore their classmates’ research and creative work.

Nebraska Wesleyan University is proud to be Nebraska’s only NCAA Division III institution. Being a D-III school means we seek the right balance of academics, athletics and campus engagement for the students we serve. 

To us, it’s about the three Ds. We help our student-athletes DISCOVER who they are and what they love to do. We give them structure and support to DEVELOP their strengths and sense of purpose. Then we help them DEDICATE their actions toward achieving their top goals.

Nebraska Wesleyan students are taking a variety of steps now to make the most of their summer “breaks.” 

Some will participate in summer study abroad experiences. Faculty-led tours to destinations like Mexico City and Japan provide great opportunities for students to immerse themselves in new cultures.

People who start new companies must have the flexibility to play many roles. “As an entrepreneur, it’s easier to count the hats you don’t wear,” said Cory Scott (’12, MBA ’16). “I had to write code and act as my own HR, payroll, accounting, sales and marketing departments.”

It takes courage—and a dynamic education—to do that well. Nebraska Wesleyan’s new Phillip S. Mullin Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program gives students the preparation they need to transform industries and launch effective startups.
